Literary Arts at BBB4E

When creating BBB4E as an organization, “Books” was chosen as the first word because we understand the importance of literacy and the foundation for any education.

Our Literary Arts programs and projects inspire our community’s youth to find their stories and play an active role in the broader community. Much of our work prioritizes underserved communities, and we strive to make our programs as equitable as possible.

Over the years, we have given away over 20,000 free books through Book Brigade, given food to local pantries through Poetry Pantry, held creative writing workshops with local college professors, and more.

We have a past history of themed literacy and visual arts projects within school settings and community events. For more information about having a BBB4E literacy arts project in your location, please contact us at hello@bbb4e.org.

BOOK BRIGADE: A Call to Action

Book Brigade gives FREE new and gently used books door-to-door at at community events. Books vary in age, reading level, and subject.

Poetry Pantry

Poetry Pantry is a free poetry writing workshop. The goal is to bring together students, families, and community members to write, but to give back. Admission for Poetry Pantry is to bring goods that we then donate to a local food pantry.
