Ian Brundige BBB4E Communication Manager, Give@BBB4E.org - 219-218-3029

Celebrating 25 years of developing and implementing innovative art programs for families across NWI, Hammond-based not-for-profit—Books, Brushes & Bands for Education (BBB4E)—is hosting two parties, September 9 and 12.

Free and open to the public, join us Tuesday, September 9, 3:30 to 6:30 pm for BBB4E’s             25th Birthday Block Party at the Merge Building (5920 Hohman Ave., Hammond). In its 3rd year, THE Block Party will feature live music, free books, cake, and performances by the summer Midwest Youth and Adult Choir students around 5:00 pm. Stop by and celebrate with current BBB4E families, alumni, volunteers, and the greater community.

Contribute to the next chapter of BBB4E at the In the Making Benefit, Friday, September 12, at the Indiana Welcome Center (7770 Corinne Dr., Hammond). This transformational event will mark the next 25 years. A special Cocktail Reception from 5:30-6:30 pm will welcome BBB4E alumni and their notable supporters. Doors open for the Benefit at 6 pm, with music by Billy Foster & Friends and dinner served by Theo’s. Visit BBB4E.org/25years to purchase tickets, become a sponsor, or make a donation–ticket sales close Monday, August 25.

The September 12 reception will debut the In the Making Exhibit, which highlights the 25-year history of creating and organizing multi-media community art and education programs. Throughout 2025, BBB4E events will continue to celebrate the families who have grown and created with BBB4E over the years. We hope to see you there! The fall Youth and Adult Choir season begins Monday, October 6 at the Hammond Public Library. BBB4E provides a group choral experience for singers aged 5 to 95+, email Hello@bbb4e.org to join the Fall waiting list.

Through the In the Making Benefit and campaign, BBB4E aims to raise $100,000 to increase its capacity for transformational literary, visual, and musical programs. This includes its signature programs–Read Across the Region, Book Brigade, and Midwest Music Programs. This crucial fundraising goal is achievable with the support of the BBB4E community and will enable the organization to provide NWI with high-quality artists operated programs. Sponsorships are now available. Make your monthly commitment and join the Spotlight Society for special access to BBB4E’s anniversary celebrations.
