Midwest Youth Choir Performs at Corporate Conference in Illinois
In Aug. the MYC performed at the Meetings and Incentives Summit in Schaumburg, IL
The Midwest Youth Choir performed at the Meetings and Incentives Worldwide summit, Aug. 3 in Schaumburg, IL under the leadership of Director, Bryan Johnson. The conference had a crowd of over 200 corporate clients. Students' families were also invited to attend.
“I was very happy to see him [Jacob] perform there with the other children. They all seemed to be happy to see the children play,” Jamie Rodriguez, choir parent said. “I’d like to thank the corporation that donated the book bags and the school supplies. We need to see more shows like that.”
The donation of back-to-school supplies included a backpack stocked with notebooks, writing implements and art supplies for the students who sang at the event. For current BBB4E students in need of supplies like these, please email hello@bbb4e.org, or text us at 219-932-3232, to schedule an appointment to pick up supplies from our office.
Meetings and Incentives Worldwide also donated a speed painting that was completed at the event by artist Amy Burkman. Students were in the front row watching her paint the expressive tiger face with bold orange and red paint strokes. The piece now greets guests in our office.
The next and final performance for the summer session of the Midwest Youth Choir will be Sept. 17 at the Library Foundation Fest at the Hammond Public Library. Join us at that and other back-to-school events, announced on our social media, to select free books from the Book Brigade.
