Former Midwest Youth Choir Director, Jade Maze, Awarded Best Short Story Book

"Music Notes” is Jade’s second book after "Walk Until Sunrise." She writes under the pen name J.J. Maze.

Jade Maze, former Midwest Youth Choir Director, has received the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Best Book in the Short Stories Category for “Music Notes: Tales From an American Singer.”

Jade led the MYC and BBB4E for around 10 years. Under her direction, the MYC performed with Foreigner at the Hammond Pavilion and for Former President Barack Obama. She had a way of helping students lift their voices so that they could find their place in the choir community.

“Music Notes: Tales From an American Singer,” Jade’s second book, “provides a glimpse into the alternative perspective of people who sacrifice the American dream to answer the call of art.”

We at BBB4E are so proud of Jade’s endeavors that highlight the power of storytelling and music, which are at the core of our mission.
